Title
Probation: What does this mean?
The registrar's and financial aid offices at M State evaluate each ºÚÁϹÙÍø's record after each term (fall, spring and summer) to determine if the ºÚÁϹÙÍø has met the Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy.
A ºÚÁϹÙÍø whose suspension term has expired or who has been granted reinstatement through the appeal process shall be on probation status for one evaluation period. If, at the end of that evaluation period, a ºÚÁϹÙÍø on probation status:
- Has met the college’s cumulative grade point average and completion percentage standards, the ºÚÁϹÙÍø shall be returned to good standing.
- Has not met the college’s cumulative GPA and completion percentage standards but has met the conditions specified in his/her academic plan (minimum 2.15 term GPA and 75 percent term completion), the ºÚÁϹÙÍø shall retain his/her financial aid and registration eligibility under a probationary status for one subsequent evaluation period.
- Has not met the college’s cumulative GPA and completion percentage standards and also has not met the conditions specified in his/her academic plan (minimum 2.15 term GPA and 75 percent term completion), the ºÚÁϹÙÍø shall be re-suspended immediately upon completion of the evaluation period.
