Purpose

To provide ºÚÁϹÙÍøs with advising opportunities to effectively assist in planning a program and selecting educational, vocational and transfer objectives.

Policy

ºÚÁϹÙÍø believes that academic advisement is essential to the growth and development of all ºÚÁϹÙÍøs. Each ºÚÁϹÙÍø is required to meet with an assigned advisor who will assist the ºÚÁϹÙÍø with scheduling and academic planning prior to registration each term. Advisors do not make decisions for ºÚÁϹÙÍøs; however, they guide ºÚÁϹÙÍøs by providing relevant information and encouragement.

Responsibility

Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs or Campus Designee

Ensure policy is implemented.

Campus Registrar or Designee

Assign advisors to each ºÚÁϹÙÍø.

Advisors

Work with ºÚÁϹÙÍøs to help them select appropriate courses.
